Wish list :)

If I can ask something to Santa, all I want are the following:

For my family - I wish that we will still hold on even in the midst. Good health and peace within our hearts.

For myself - I wish that I can make the best out of me that will help my future successful. Good health and have good grades.

For the Victims of Typhoon Pablo - I wish that they can surpass all the challenges they are facing right now, they can feel the peace within their hearts and minds.

These are all I want for Christmas.

I am not asking for any material things because these are the best and important blessings that I can ever have.

The continuation ...

Last Monday, we continue installing since we did not finish our work.

Installation

We had our activity in which we learned from our discussion. We first installed the Windows7OS, second we partion the amount of storage into 2. Then, lastly we installed the dropbox. Dropbox an online storage that we can save files. At first, I had the hard time to install but still I made it.

Importance of Secondary Storage

Secondary storage can be used to restore a backup of your files if you have to format. You can use it if you run out of room on your main hard drive. If it is external secondary storage you can also bring it with you if you need to access files at work or somewhere else.
Commonly used types of secondary storage are the USB drive and Floppy Disk.

Without secondary storage, you would lose all of your data everytime your computer powered down. In other words, your computer would not have anywhere to save data indefinitely.

Secondary Storage

Last December 10, we had tackled about the Secondary Storage  refers to storage devices and storage media that are not always directly accessible by a computer. This differs from primary storage technology, such as an internal hard drive, which is constantly available.
Examples of secondary storage devices includeexternal hard drives, USB flash drives, and tape drives. These devices must be connected to a computer's external I/O ports in order to be accessed by the system. They may or may not require their own power supply.
Examples of secondary storage media include recordable CDs and DVDs, floppy disks, and removable disks, such as Zip disks and Jaz disks. Each one of these types of media must be inserted into the appropriate drive in order to be read by the computer. While floppy disks and removable disks are rarely used anymore, CDs and DVDs are still a popular way to save and transfer data.
Because secondary storage technology is not always accessible by a computer, it is commonly used for archival and backup purposes. If a computer stops functioning, a secondary storage device may be used to restore a recent backup to a new system. Therefore, if you use a secondary storage device to backup your data, make sure you run frequent backups and test the data on a regular basis.

Continue...

Last Friday, we still continued searching and answering our exercises given to us by our instructor. Some of my classmates had their practical exam, as I looked at them I smiled because I remember the time we also had our practical exam that we almost forget what we need to do. But thanks God, He truly help us especially in our midst.

Research

Last Wednesday, some of the groups had there practical exam while the others are asked to answer the exercises given by our instructor. Honestly, I had the hard time to answer all of the exercises because I need to rephrase all of my answers I got from the internet because I don't want to just copy and paste like my other classmates :) I still now making my exercises in order to pass it. I hope that my instructor would be generous enough to consider and generous to give high scores since I think I am worthy enough.

Practical Exam

Last Monday, We had our practical exam in which we assemble and disassemble the computer CPU. At first, we were so nervous because we were the first one who had the exam but as we go on we never mind it, instead we do our part as best as we could, and the rest of it we put in God's Grace.

We may not able to do perfectly on time, we still happy because we had followed the procedures and answered the questions. We are now hoping for our grades that is worth dying for. (Just Kidding) The truth is we are hoping for a perfect score. :)
