Wish list :)

If I can ask something to Santa, all I want are the following:

For my family - I wish that we will still hold on even in the midst. Good health and peace within our hearts.

For myself - I wish that I can make the best out of me that will help my future successful. Good health and have good grades.

For the Victims of Typhoon Pablo - I wish that they can surpass all the challenges they are facing right now, they can feel the peace within their hearts and minds.

These are all I want for Christmas.

I am not asking for any material things because these are the best and important blessings that I can ever have.

The continuation ...

Last Monday, we continue installing since we did not finish our work.

Installation

We had our activity in which we learned from our discussion. We first installed the Windows7OS, second we partion the amount of storage into 2. Then, lastly we installed the dropbox. Dropbox an online storage that we can save files. At first, I had the hard time to install but still I made it.

Importance of Secondary Storage

Secondary storage can be used to restore a backup of your files if you have to format. You can use it if you run out of room on your main hard drive. If it is external secondary storage you can also bring it with you if you need to access files at work or somewhere else.
Commonly used types of secondary storage are the USB drive and Floppy Disk.

Without secondary storage, you would lose all of your data everytime your computer powered down. In other words, your computer would not have anywhere to save data indefinitely.

Secondary Storage

Last December 10, we had tackled about the Secondary Storage  refers to storage devices and storage media that are not always directly accessible by a computer. This differs from primary storage technology, such as an internal hard drive, which is constantly available.
Examples of secondary storage devices includeexternal hard drives, USB flash drives, and tape drives. These devices must be connected to a computer's external I/O ports in order to be accessed by the system. They may or may not require their own power supply.
Examples of secondary storage media include recordable CDs and DVDs, floppy disks, and removable disks, such as Zip disks and Jaz disks. Each one of these types of media must be inserted into the appropriate drive in order to be read by the computer. While floppy disks and removable disks are rarely used anymore, CDs and DVDs are still a popular way to save and transfer data.
Because secondary storage technology is not always accessible by a computer, it is commonly used for archival and backup purposes. If a computer stops functioning, a secondary storage device may be used to restore a recent backup to a new system. Therefore, if you use a secondary storage device to backup your data, make sure you run frequent backups and test the data on a regular basis.

Continue...

Last Friday, we still continued searching and answering our exercises given to us by our instructor. Some of my classmates had their practical exam, as I looked at them I smiled because I remember the time we also had our practical exam that we almost forget what we need to do. But thanks God, He truly help us especially in our midst.

Research

Last Wednesday, some of the groups had there practical exam while the others are asked to answer the exercises given by our instructor. Honestly, I had the hard time to answer all of the exercises because I need to rephrase all of my answers I got from the internet because I don't want to just copy and paste like my other classmates :) I still now making my exercises in order to pass it. I hope that my instructor would be generous enough to consider and generous to give high scores since I think I am worthy enough.

Practical Exam

Last Monday, We had our practical exam in which we assemble and disassemble the computer CPU. At first, we were so nervous because we were the first one who had the exam but as we go on we never mind it, instead we do our part as best as we could, and the rest of it we put in God's Grace.

We may not able to do perfectly on time, we still happy because we had followed the procedures and answered the questions. We are now hoping for our grades that is worth dying for. (Just Kidding) The truth is we are hoping for a perfect score. :)

Lesson for the Week

The lesson we had was about disassembling and assembling computers. Our teacher tackled the Do's and Don't's in order for us to make our task perfectly. We may not directly understand the procedures but as we go on I can manage in disassembling and assembling computers.

The proper way in disassembling and assembling computers, I would show to you by watching these 2 videos I got for the website Youtube. Hope you'll get something!

The CPU

The CPU disassembles and the parts on it are placed properly.

The CPU is still assemble but you can notice that
the wires are not properly placed.

The CPU is disassembled.

The parts are properly put on a safe ground.

The wiring are properly plugin.

The CPU can be functional perfectly if
we can assemble or disassemble correctly.

In Assembling the CPU

This video will help you learn on how to assemble computers.

1
  • Open the computer case. The case usually has an access panel that is fastened to the side or back of the unit. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws holding the panel in place. Set the screws aside so you don't lose them. Swing open the panel door or slide off the panel, depending on the design of your computer case. On some computers, the access panel is opened by pushing a button or release lever.
  • 2
Locate the CPU socket on the motherboard. Consult the user manual for your motherboard if you need help identifying the CPU. The socket is generally near the back of the motherboard and is a large square area. If a CPU is already installed in the socket, it will most likely have a fan and heat sink mounted on top. Unscrew the heat sink or unlatch it by lifting up on the clips securing the heat sink in place. You may need to use a pair or needle-nose pliers to disengage the lock.
  • 3
Lift up on the small metal bar in the CPU area. Remove the current CPU if there is one. Put the new CPU in the CPU socket. You will need to match the notched corner of the CPU with the CPU socket; or there will be a pin and a pinhole missing on the CPU and socket that will only be missing on one corner. Match these up and set the CPU in place. Close the thin metal bar locking the CPU in place.
  • 4
Apply thermal compound to the top of the CPU. Screw or clip a heat sink and fan on top of the CPU. Connect the power cable from the fan to a power outlet on the motherboard. The fan is an essential component that will keep the CPU from overheating.

    Tips & Warnings

    • Be sure that the fan and heat sink are seated properly on the CPU and that the fan is connected to power. A CPU can fry in a matter of seconds if these precautions are overlooked or the fan does not operate.

    The works of the Internet

I got this video from the youtube. I want to share this video to my readers so that they would know something more about the works of the Internet. May you enjoy watching the video.

    History of the Internet

This is the history of the Internet. I uploaded this video to help people know briefly about the Internet. The use of the Internet nowadays is very important because without the Internet works won't be easier enough to those people who get benefits  on it. I hope you will enjoy watching this video I copy from the youtube.

    TF: Task Force

Ang tunay na kaibigan ay isang
    taong 'di ka pababayaan.
    Mapagkakatiwalaan ng buong-buo,
    mamahalin ka ng walang kapantay,
    atnag-aalalay sa'yo, araw man o gabi,
    sa kalungkutan man o kasiyahan,
SIYA'Y naririyan at hindi ka iiwan.

    Nagsimula ang lahat,
    Nung tayo'y magkapangkat.
Sa umpisa'y nahihiya sa isa't isa,
    Ngunit pagkakaibiga'y nabuo ng nga.

    Sa eskwelaha'y laging nagkikita,
    Ngunit hindi nagkikibuan.
    Ika'y nasa isang tabi lamang,

    Happy 17th Birthday, Mami!
Wishing you more Birthdays to come,
good health and successful career. :)

    Third Step: College Life

Go for it now. The future is promised to no one.
College life is that phase in one's life when one learns the most important lessons of his/her life. It is for the first time in college when an individual is left to himself to make his own decisions.
Lots of students enter college anticipating good times, knowledge, friendships, and a new sense of direction. They soon find out that college comes with challenges and struggles because of the great demands and expectations that are put on the importance of education. College students experience a great deal of stress, especially when they are trying to balance their time from academics to their own tasks. The demands of doing many different things with very little time can become overwhelming.
College students finds very little time to enjoy extracurricular activities. Even if they attend any major school functions, games, or dating , they will regret not getting the term paper done that was due the following day or week. Many students begin to feel pressure that often leads to depression and social isolation. The fear of being a failure and not measuring up to someone’s expectations adds more pressure to the sleep-deprived, stressed out student.
College students are often left with no personal time, and must learn to manage everything to his/her life. College has many rewards if you do not get burned out and give up too soon. The pressure and time managing can all be worked out with patience and lots of understanding from family and friends.
If college students failed to their expectations they should not feel down but instead do again your best and God will do the rest. Just believe God and yourself and nothing will never be impossible. God will provide us everything that we need also in accordance with His will.

I also want to be a member :(

When someone say, I am useless - I feel so down and wanna die. I can't imagine right now - MYSELF! I was made by my parents with a purpose but I could not even see it. What I always see are the bad sides. I thought I've done my "very best" as a individual but I am totally wrong. Why? Did God send me here on earth for nothing? Or He just sent me because I will be one of the non-living things to the people that I loved. Maybe they don't loved me anymore, maybe they all want is maid to do all the house hold chores or maybe they all want to me is just being too considerate to all things. How could I let them feel somehow that I am worthy to be someone they also called a member of a Big Family.

    Life is like a computer

Life is the greatest gift that God has given us. It is then our responsibility to live this life to the fullest. We can make and unmake our lives if we are not careful of it. It is compared to computer a kind of technology that will be used properly to give us good outputs.

Life is a journey, along the way we have so many activities (inputs) and from that we have to harvest what we have done (outputs). It is like a computer really because in a computer there is input and output. It is where our lives become comfortable. We can even work faster and communicate faster than ever before.

Computer is a technology that will be handled and used properly. It needs extra care and discipline in using this. Just like our lives we need to take care of it because if computer collapsed or bug down when over used our lives too will be the same.

When computer needs to be checked and cleaned to give good results and performance the same thing with our lives we need to pause for a moment of silence and ask ourselves where are we now? What am I doing? That is why we have to pray and do some recollections and retreats to clean ourselves from sins and guilt so that we can move on.

The computer is a technology that can be manipulate by humans to achieve better results of something. More so with our lives we can best manipulate it because we are the captain of our souls and we can make the best for our lives to be at its best.

When the computer needs to relax and be given proper ventilation to give us its better performance the same thing with us we should give time to ourselves to do some recreations and live in a clean environment to be healthy to become more productive.

Finally, I would say that its true life is like a computer because we digest and take everything possible in lives. We want to live our lives in comforts and make our works faster to meet the demands of the technology around us. But most of all let us not forget to rest because even computers need to rest too.

    Aborsyon: Takot, Kahihiyan at Kasalanan

    Ban Aerial Spraying

The boy is pleasing to you . . .

Aerial Spraying is commonly used by big plantations of fruits and crops in the United States and even in our country at present. They are sold out on aerial spraying because it maximizes time and money especially in banana plantations, cacao and pineapples plantations here in the country. Yes it saves time and effort but it is very dangerous to the health of the people living near the vicinity especially to the little children. It can damage their skin, lungs, and even their. It is not really good to be used in places where there are families living nearby. So, PLEASE! Stop the aerial spraying for the good of all.

    I'm happy to be MYSELF!

    ACHY - GA

It is said, persons are unique creature and no two individuals are exactly alike because we are made special by God. For me being an unique one, I had an experience that was being belittled and criticized. I know it is so painful to hear all of that especially if the one who teases you is your loved ones.

In my own experience in my family, I am the shortest product of my parents and has a long chin. My siblings teased me and even called me "Potot" and "Taas Suwang" that made me cry sometimes. But I always try to prove to them that even though I am short; I am beautiful that is what my mother always remind me that I am beautiful because I am different from them.

I accept myself completely as I am. I know everything has it's own meaning, that is why I am proud for who I am today. I don't care to those people who are happy teasing someone's imperfection. Thus, imperfections will make you perfect. I'm happy to be MYSELF!

    St. Lorenzo Ruiz

    IV - St. Lorenzo Ruiz

    This is our last chance
    To share the stage
Before we go our seperate ways
We should spend these final days together
    Its our last chance
    For us to shine
To make some music one more time

             - High School Musical-

Friendship is being of help to others and always there in times of hardships and crises. Friendship is both in good times and bad times. Most of all the value of friendship is time and availability in times of needs. We want  somebody to talk with and to share with our experiences. We want to mingle to others to learn something to them; We want to enjoy others company sharing our laughter's.

THE BEST BATCH - unity and how close we've become as a class. I don't think that this applies to us. Instead, I think we've all become close as individuals, not because of some imaginary entity we all belong to, but because of who and what we are. Soon, we won't be chanting "RED LION"; we'll be remembering the individual relationships we all had.

I remember after the six grade graduation we were milling about the courtyard, hugging each other and crying for what would become of us. We were scared of high school this time it's the real world. And later in life, we will face much bigger obstacles that we will overcome, and high school graduation will be fondly remembered. As we approach this real world, it's important to remember the many people who have helped us along the way as leaders, advisers, peers, and friends.

I've learned lot of things from you, especially the value of friendship. I hope that our friendship we had will last forever. Even we go on our separate way, never forget to look back from where you came. And always put in your heart and mind the teachings of our beloved Alma Matter. May God Bless You! Farewell to my friends, I hope to see each other again.

    L.O.V.E?

    Love is . . .

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres.

    1 Corinthians 13

Love is a complex perplexity that has been defined by countless people; yet, no one has ever been close in grasping its true nature. One may turn to his/her dictionary to look for the meaning; however, even the dictionary cannot define this exactly. We then ask, how will we know if we’re already in love if we, ourselves, cannot even identify it? It is an intricate question; indeed, we often confuse love with various feelings like lust and infatuation.
Back in our Elementary days, we had our own crushes and immediately thought that it was love; hence, the catchphrase “I am in love with you” and the ever-popular “love at first sight.” People carry the belief until they grow up. They are being blinded by this sad thing. What they don’t know is that it’s not love; in fact, it is called Infatuation. We know it’s infatuation since Infatuation is distinguished by a lack of trust, loyalty, commitment, and reciprocity; in addition, there is the presence of the obsessed and the apple of the eye, which of course may or may not be attainable.
For kids, there’s infatuation; however, for young adults and adults alike, there is lust. Lust, also known as lechery, is an impure act that involves one’s desire of the “flesh” of another. Lust is prevalent in teenagers and adults alike. Whenever they see an attractive person, they feel infatuated and afterward, think of unclean thoughts involving them and the concerned person. What is sad about this is that once their desires have been met, they grow tired and eventually leave their partners.
What love is? Is it safe to say that love is anything that doesn’t fall under infatuation and lust? Love is definitely a deeper feeling; on the contrary, infatuation and lust are simply feelings that are too shallow. Love is simply too complex to be talked out; subsequently, many people still end up being perplexed by love. This makes love a very special feeling; uniquely, it gives one an experience that no other feeling could give and that includes lust and infatuation.
When everything is said and done, we can all say that love is indeed a wonderful feeling which can be talked about for a very long time.
