Bagito
Have you ever heard the word “Bagito”?
Bagito is a Filipino word which means that a teenager boy or girl
who engages himself or herself to premarital sex. Also, whose obligation is so
big when he or she has a child in an earlier age.
Premarital sex is common in many Western countries because of their
more liberated views on life. Many would think that a predominantly Roman
Catholic and conservative country like the Philippines would be less worried
about premarital sex and its consequences. In the past, there used to be a long
courtship before a woman can accept a man to be her boyfriend. Relationships
involved getting to know the person, building trust, and investing emotions
without sexual contact. Culture, tradition, beliefs, values, and religion
influenced Filipino’s point of view about premarital sex. Majority of Filipinos
regarded sex as an act shared only between husband and wife. Filipino women
were expected to give their virginity to their husbands on their wedding night.
A local study suggests that Filipinos’ attitudes towards sex have dramatically
changed over time.
According to 2014 Young Adult Fertility and Sexuality Study (YAFS
4), which the University of the Philippines Population Institute (UPPI) and the
Demographic Research and Development Foundation, Inc. (DRDF) revealed that
their study shows that one in every three youth aged 15 to 24 years old has
engaged in premarital sex, the number increasing by more than 14 percent from
almost 20 years ago, when the second YAFS was conducted. This translates to
about 6.2 million youth who have engaged in sexual intercourse before marriage,
according to UPPI’s Maria Paz Marquez.
Today in modern days, bagito is very rampant to our society. In a
hotel, motel, riverside or park they will make love even if they are not yet
married and blessed by Church.
As we can see there are a lot of video scandals uploaded in social
media that a teenager couples are making love in the park or even in their
school while wearing their school uniform.
These teenagers who feel incomplete, inadequate and unappreciated
are more likely to seek comfort in a sexual relationship. But those with a life
rich in relationships, family traditions, activities, interests and most of all
consistent love and affirmation are less likely to embark on a desperate search
for fulfillment that could lead to unwise sexual decisions.
Doing such thing makes them inhuman because they never follow what
their parents taught them or the values that the school implemented but wait,
do we have the right to judge them? Do we know the reason behind it? Do we also
have same experiences like them? No! Right?
Yes, they are called as bagito because they are engaging themselves
from pleasure however they still kids and don’t know what they are doing. Maybe
they are just influence by their surroundings and the pressure they get from
others.
What can we do now? There are a lot of them do not know what they are
doing. Giving their bodies even they are not yet married only in pleasure and
satisfaction. We all have the will and power to overcome this phenomenon. But
how? Think within yourselves and try to inspire others to go back from negative
to positive.
Sex is a powerful force that can destroy if not used properly. Like
atomic power, sex is the most powerful creative force given to man. When atomic
power is used correctly it can create boundless energy; when it is used in the
wrong way it destroys life. Sex is the same kind of powerful force. Sex is a
gift from God to give us the greatest pleasure, to help in creating a deep
companionship with one's spouse and for procreation of the next generation. But
if you play with this powerful force outside the bounds of marriage, it
destroys you and those close to you.
Thus, always remember that true love waits. If a boy or girl truly
loves you, they will want the best for you. They will not want you to suffer
fear of disease, unwanted pregnancy and the psychological difficulties of
premarital sex. They will want to experience love with you only in the very
best place of all - the love nest of marriage.

K to 12: Yes or No
The
Department of Education (DepEd) implements
the improved K to 12 (Kindergarten to
Grade 12) Basic Education Program, adding two more years to the existing
10-year basic education curriculum. Since last school year, the compulsory
kindergarten education was put in place through a law that requires all children
who are five years old to enroll and finish kindergarten education before going
to Grade one.
The K to 12 has kindergarten as base,
to be followed by six years of elementary (Grades 1 to 6), four years of junior
high school (Grades 7 to 10), and two years of senior high school (Grades 11
and 12).
The new program seeks to cure what ails
the Philippine basic and secondary education system. Looking ahead that the
additional years will result to better-educated, competitive, and employable
graduates.
Everyone says that the K to 12 Basic
Education Program gives a wider opportunity but why is it that there are still
negative feedbacks received.
This K to 12 program starts with many problem
and still on going: the lack of teachers, shortage in classrooms, school
buildings and facilities, and textbooks, a curriculum that needs renovating,
and a budget that even education officials call a “survival budget.”
Inadequacies of the basic education
curriculum have been observed for many years. Thus, it makes the education of
ones child insufficient. However, do we think that this is the right time for
the government to continue implement the said program in which it provides many
problems to the concerned people?
Yes, education is the key to success
but can we really reach the top of the success if there are hindrances to ones
journey?
Now
this is your time to say anything about: The Department of Education (DepEd) hopes its critics and the public
will look beyond criticisms and predictions of fate and instead give the K to
12 Basic Education Program a chance.
Is
it yes or no? Will you still give another chance for the program to go on or
will you say stop and tell to continue the old tradition we had.

Wish list :)
If I can ask something to Santa, all I want are the following:
For my family - I wish that we will still hold on even in the midst. Good health and peace within our hearts.
For myself - I wish that I can make the best out of me that will help my future successful. Good health and have good grades.
For the Victims of Typhoon Pablo - I wish that they can surpass all the challenges they are facing right now, they can feel the peace within their hearts and minds.
These are all I want for Christmas.
I am not asking for any material things because these are the best and important blessings that I can ever have.
Installation
We had our activity in which we learned from our discussion. We first installed the Windows7OS, second we partion the amount of storage into 2. Then, lastly we installed the dropbox. Dropbox an online storage that we can save files. At first, I had the hard time to install but still I made it.
Importance of Secondary Storage
Secondary storage can be used to restore a backup of your files if you have to format. You can use it if you run out of room on your main hard drive. If it is external secondary storage you can also bring it with you if you need to access files at work or somewhere else.
Commonly used types of secondary storage are the USB drive and Floppy Disk.
Without secondary storage, you would lose all of your data everytime your computer powered down. In other words, your computer would not have anywhere to save data indefinitely.
